  Rude employees and high prices. They put high prices on the items they want to take home for themselves just like Goodwill. I thought this was a place for people in need you have to know someone to get a good deal. What a shame for all the flood and fire victims being victimized by nonprofits.

  I decided to get my husband a nice, sturdy desk as a surprise Christmas gift this year and was encouraged by my coworkers to visit the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I stopped in on my lunch break and initially picked out a black desk that was a bit scuffed up, but was made of solid wood and would have lasted him a long time. I paid for it and waited as they loaded it up. Unfortunately, the volunteers who were there helping out that day accidentally broke one of the legs while they were attempting to get it in the bed of the truck. I was very disheartened but understood that accidents happened and was going to settle for a refund. However, a man named Jim that I had the pleasure of speaking with earlier took me to the back to view a different desk to see if I might like it. What he showed me turned out to be even better for my husband's personality. The only problem was that when it was donated, the hardware to attach the legs had not come with it. Jim told me if I liked the desk, he would see if the hardware from the broken one would fit. I told him I loved it and crossed my fingers. Lo and behold, because they happened to both be donated by Ashley HomeStore, the hardware fit and I was able to give my husband an amazing gift. I think that it says a lot that Jim went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied as a customer; my husband absolutely loves the desk and for good reason - it is stunning. We have every intention of returning for our future furniture needs. Great job, Jim!
